Permabond ET5441 is a thermally conductive 2K epoxy with UL94-V0 flame retardancy — designed for bonding heat sinks, batteries and power electronics with heat dissipation and fire protection requirements.
With a thermal conductivity of 1.0–1.4 W/(m·K), ET5441 is among the most thermally conductive 2K epoxies in the Permabond range—approximately ten times higher than standard epoxies. This property makes the product the first choice for bonding applications that require heat dissipation—heat sink mounting, battery bonding, and power electronics.
The UL94-V0 classification qualifies ET5441 for fire protection-relevant applications—for example, in electrical cabinets, control units, or e-mobility components. At 200 °C, the adhesive retains 30% of its strength, making it suitable for high-temperature applications.
Thermally conductive 2-component epoxy with UL94-V0 flame retardancy — a thermal conductivity of 1.0–1.4 W/(m·K) enables its use in bonding heat sinks, batteries, and power electronics. It retains 30% of its strength at 200 °C and is flame retardant according to UL94-V0.

Frequently asked questions about Permabond ET 5441
Practical application and design questions — answered by SILITECH.
Thermally conductive UL94-V0 epoxy for heat sinks and batteries — 1.0–1.4 W/(m·K), 30% strength at 200 °C. The 2-component epoxy is mixed in a 2:1 volume ratio and offers a pot life of 30–40 minutes @ 23 °C.
Mix both components in a 2:1 ratio by volume — use the mixing nozzle for dual cartridges, weigh precisely for larger containers. Apply within the pot life (30–40 minutes @ 23 °C) and join components. Full curing typically occurs after 24 hours at room temperature.
The pot life of Permabond ET5441 is typically 30–40 minutes at 23 °C. Higher temperatures shorten, lower temperatures lengthen the pot life. Mixtures above approximately 100 g may gel more quickly due to an exothermic reaction.
Permabond ET5441 bonds reliably to: Steel: 20–25 N/mm²; Aluminum: —; Carbon fiber: 25–30 N/mm². For thermoplastic substrates, test compatibility before series production.
Permabond ET5441 is approved according to: UL94-V0 Flame Retardancy, Retains 30% Strength at 200 °C. Compliance letters and detailed certificates are available from Permabond/SILITECH.
Permabond ET5441 is a thermally conductive 2-component epoxy 2:1 — for heat sinks, batteries, UL94-V0 (2:1 volume mix, 30–40 minutes pot life @ 23 °C). Permabond ET5411 is a high-temperature 2:1 (2:1, pot life) — also suitable for high-temperature applications, without UL94.
From the Permabond 2K epoxy range, select according to application, mixing ratio, and strength requirements: Permabond ET5441 (Thermally Conductive 2K Epoxy 2:1 — Heat Sinks, Batteries, UL94-V); Permabond ET5411 (High Temperature 2:1); Permabond ET515 (Aerospace Flexible); Permabond ET5422 (High Strength 100:44). For aerospace applications, see ET515 (Aircraft Seat Trays); for food applications, see ET5162 (EU 10/2011 + FDA); for thermal conductivity/fire protection, see ET5441 (UL94-V0).
