Frequently asked questions about Silbione 70047 V 350
Practical application and design questions — answered by SILITECH.
Silbione Oil 70047 V 350: Medically approved PDMS oil (350 mm²/s) from the Silbione range — biocompatible for medium viscosity requirements in medicine and pharmaceuticals. Main applications: Dermatological creams, pharmaceutical excipients, medical device lubrication.
PDMS (polydimethylsiloxane) is a linear silicone fluid with high thermal stability, low surface tension, very good dielectric properties, and a wide temperature range. The viscosity (in mm²/s = cSt) determines the application range—low viscosities for volatile lubrication and hydraulics, high viscosities for antifoaming, damping, and conditioning.
Store in the unopened original container in a dry, cool place — typically between +5 and +30 °C, see TDS for exact values. Consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Observe the expiry date on the packaging — Elkem guarantees the product's specifications only until the date shown.
