SILISIL 36 B Med. — B component of the 2K Medical silicone system
SILISIL 36 B Med. is the catalyst component (B) of the platinum-curing 2K addition silicone system from the SILISIL Medical series. The crosslinking reaction only starts after mixing with the A component (SILISIL 36 A Med.) in the specified ratio.
Important: SILISIL 36 B Med. is a single component and must only be used together with SILISIL 36 A Med. Refer to the TDS for mixing, pot life, and curing data.
Product benefits
- Precisely tuned platinum catalyst — reaction-accurate and reproducible
- Dermatologically tested, approved for direct skin contact
- After curing, it yields Shore A 36 in combination with the A component
- Odorless, no byproducts during cross-linking
Typical applications (with SILISIL 36 A Med.)
- Dental technology: High-precision impression taking of dental situations
- Orthopedics & Podiatry: Custom-made orthotics and prostheses
- Hearing acoustics: Ear impressions for hearing aids and hearing protection
- Film & SFX: Prosthetic castings and special effects masks
processing
- Only compatible with SILISIL 36 A Med. — Mixing ratio according to TDS
- Stir both components before mixing (to remove filler sediment)
- Contamination by sulfur, tin or PVC must be avoided at all costs
storage
- Store in a cool, dry place in the original, unopened packaging
- Shelf life according to TDS

Frequently asked questions about SILISIL 36 B Med.
Answers regarding use and processing.
SILISIL 36 B Med. contains the platinum catalyst along with other excipients which, together with component A (silicone polymer), initiate the crosslinking reaction. See TDS and SDS for details.
No. SILISIL 36 B Med. does not harden on its own and only develops its effect in the exact mixture with SILISIL 36 A Med.
Yes, the 2K system SILISIL 36 Med. is skin-compatible and dermatologically tested. For specific dental certificates, please consult the current SDS and certificate portfolio.
Platinum-curing silicones are sensitive to sulfur (e.g., from latex gloves or modeling clay), tin compounds (from condensation silicones), and PVC. Work on clean, contamination-free surfaces.
