SILISIL PC Curing Agent Standard — PC Curing Agent

SILISIL PC-Curing Agent Standard is the hardener component of the SILISIL Platin-Cast 2K system. The different curing agent variants (Standard, PU, ​​NF) are tailored to different base components and processing conditions.

Product benefits

  • 2K addition system with precisely calibrated mixing ratio
  • Shrinkage-resistant and dimensionally stable even after extended periods of inactivity
  • High tear and tear propagation strength
  • Excellent detail reproduction, even at the microscopic level
  • Long mold lifespan with proper processing
  • Compatible with most common casting and molding materials

Typical applications

  • Electronic potting: PU variant for PU-compatible systems
  • Mold making: Standard variant for universal use
  • Special applications: NF variant for non-flammable requirements
  • Prototyping: Adaptation to the base component used

Processing and mixing

  • The exact mixing ratio, pot life and demolding time can be found in the technical data sheet (TDS) on this product page
  • Before processing, stir both components separately and then mix thoroughly in the specified ratio
  • Degassing under vacuum (30–50 mbar) eliminates air inclusions and improves surface quality
  • Ideally, processing should take place at 23 °C and 40–60% relative humidity
  • Contamination by sulfur, amines, tin catalysts or PVC must be avoided in platinum-crosslinked systems — they prevent curing

Storage and shelf life

  • Store in unopened original packaging at 5–25 °C, in a dry place and protected from sunlight
  • Shelf life from date of manufacture as stated in the TDS — typically 12–24 months
  • Carefully reseal after opening
