SILISIL RTV CT-BodyThixo 22 is a room temperature vulcanizing 2-component silicone of the CT — Cast Thixotropic (body casting)series (Addition (Platinum), thixotropic, RTV-2) — Skin-compatible 2K thixotropic silicone Shore A 22 for safe body casting and lifecasting.

The mixture is prepared in a 1:1 ratio by weight . Pot life at 23 °C is approximately 10 minutes, demolding after approximately 25 minutes, and complete curing after 12 hours. Temperature resistant from -40 °C to +200 °C.

Processing

Prepare the original
Clean, dry, and dust-free surface at 23 °C — cooler environments significantly extend pot life and curing time.

Mix components
Stir base and catalyst thoroughly before use. Weigh out 1:1 by weight. Mix in thoroughly, including container walls and bottom.

Vacuum degassing
For a pore-free mold, briefly vent under vacuum.

Processing
Pour in a thin stream from a height of approximately 30 cm — minimizing air bubbles. For modeling clay, press directly onto the model.

Vulcanize and demold
At 23 °C, demolding is possible after approximately 25 minutes, with complete hardening after 12 hours.

Important Notes

Avoid crosslinking inhibitors
Addition system (platinum) — sensitive to sulfur, amine, tin, and phosphorus compounds. Avoid contact with latex gloves and PVC plasticizers.
Storage and Shelf Life
Shelf life of at least 12 months in unopened original container when stored in a dry, cool place (10–25 °C). Consult the SDS before opening.

Compatibility
Compatible with polyurethane, epoxy, and polyester casting resins. For aggressive resins, apply a release agent.

SILISIL RTV CT-BodyThixo 22 is a 2-component silicone from the CT — Cast Thixotropic (body casting) series (Shore A 22, pink). This skin-compatible 2-component thixotropic silicone (Shore A 22) is suitable for safe body casting and lifecasting, as well as related applications.

At 23 °C, the pot life is approximately 10 minutes and the demolding time is approximately 25 minutes. 

SILISIL RTV CT-BodyThixo 22 is an addition (platinum), thixotropic system. This addition system (platinum) is sensitive to sulfur, amine, tin, and phosphorus compounds. Avoid contact with latex gloves and PVC plasticizers.

SILISIL RTV CT-BodyThixo 22 is mixed in a 1:1 ratio by weight (base to catalyst). Homogenize both components separately before mixing, then thoroughly incorporate them – including the container walls and bottom.

SILISIL RTV CT-BodyThixo 22 achieves a Shore A hardness of 22 (ASTM D 2240), a tensile strength of 2.5 N/mm² (ASTM D 412), an elongation at break of approximately 360% and a tensile strength of 14 N/mm (ASTM D 624).
