BLUESIL Fluid 47 V 1000 is a linear polydimethylsiloxane oil of the 47 series. It serves as a thermostatic fluid from -50 to +200 °C, as a dielectric fluid, as a thinner and plasticizer for RTV silicones and sealants, as a lubricant and heat protectant for textile yarns, as an additive in paints and varnishes to prevent craters and scratches, and for the hydrophobic treatment of powders and fibers. The oil offers very good heat and oxidation resistance, good dielectric properties, low surface tension, high shear stability, and minimal viscosity change with temperature.

PDMS (Polydimethylsiloxane) is a linear silicone fluid with high thermal stability, low surface tension, very good dielectric properties, and broad temperature resistance. The viscosity (in mm²/s = cSt) determines the field of application — low viscosities for volatile lubrication and hydraulics, high viscosities for antifoam, damping, and care conditioning.
