Bluesil Fluid 47 V 300 is a medium viscosity linear PDMS oil (300 mm²/s) — a proven all-rounder as an RTV thinner, lubricant, release agent and hydrophobizing component.

Bluesil/Silbione polydimethylsiloxane oils (PDMS) — chemically inert, thermally stable, with defined viscosity, suitable for use as lubricants, separators, dielectrics, hydraulic fluids, and heat transfer fluids. Fluid 47 V 300 is tailored to specific applications — the most important properties and areas of application are listed below.

Medium viscosity all-rounder

Bluesil FLD 47V300 is the medium viscosity variant of the 47V series — suitable as a thermostatic medium (−50 to +200 °C), as a thinner and plasticizer for Bluesil RTV, as a release agent and as a hydrophobizing component for powders and glass fibers.

What distinguishes Fluid 47 V 300

Medium viscosity all-rounder
Universally applicable — lubrication, release agent, thinner, hydrophobing.
Very good heat resistance
Operating range −50 to +200 °C, high combustion resistance.
Small viscosity change
Stable over a wide temperature range — no thickening in cold, no liquefaction in heat.
Water-repellent
Makes powders, fiberglass and paints water-repellent.
Weather-resistant
Oxidation-stable, UV-stable — also suitable for outdoor use.

What is Fluid 47 V 300 used for?

RTV thinner and plasticizer
Viscosity adjustment of Bluesil RTV-2 systems.
Release agent
Demolding of plastics and foundry articles.
Hydrophobization
Water-repellent treatment of powders, fiberglass, and paints.
Care product component
Polishes, waxes, floor polishes — improve shine and protective film.
Anti-stain agent
Photocopiers and printers — prevents toner buildup.

Processing

1
Clean application surface
Degrease and dry the surface to be treated — a clean contact surface is important for uniform effectiveness.
2
Application
Spraying, dipping, brushing, or printing — depending on the application profile. At low viscosity, also suitable for airless spray application.
3
Apply
Uniform layer — thin for release agents, as needed for lubricants.
4
Waiting time / distribution time
For high-temperature applications, observe the drying time — check the antifoam dosage ratio.
5
Sealing + Storage
Seal remaining quantities airtight, store cool and dry — typical shelf life 36 months from manufacturing date.

Frequently asked questions about Fluid 47 V 300

Practical application and design questions — answered by SILITECH.

Bluesil Fluid 47 V 300: Medium-viscosity linear PDMS oil (300 mm²/s) — a proven all-rounder as an RTV thinner, lubricant, release agent, and water-repellent component. Main applications: RTV thinner and plasticizer, release agent, water-repellent.

PDMS (Polydimethylsiloxane) is a linear silicone fluid with high thermal stability, low surface tension, very good dielectric properties, and broad temperature resistance. The viscosity (in mm²/s = cSt) determines the field of application — low viscosities for volatile lubrication and hydraulics, high viscosities for antifoam, damping, and care conditioning.

Store in the unopened original container in a dry, cool place — typically standard between +5 and +30 °C, exact values see TDS. Consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Observe the expiration date on the packaging — Elkem guarantees the sales specifications only up to the stated date.

In the comparison table above, you will find related products with similar functions or related specifications. If you are unsure about the optimal choice, we will be happy to advise you — contact SILITECH with your application (desired property, substrate, processing workflow).
