Processing

1
Prepare the application formulation
Water/alcohol/hydroalcohol solution ready before surfactant addition.
2
Dosage
Typically 2–3% depending on the application — varies for antifoam, PU foam, and textile finishing.
3
Dissolve
Complete solubility only below the cloud point (~45 °C) — at higher temperatures the product precipitates (reversibly).
4
Processing
Process according to application-specific requirements — for anti-fog formulations, add 2% to the 95% alcohol base.
5
Seal
Remaining quantities can be stored airtight for up to 36 months at temperatures from -20 to +50 °C.

Frequently asked questions about SP 3300

Practical application and design questions — answered by SILITECH.

Bluesil SP 3300: Non-hydrolyzable silicone polyether copolymer (1,800 cPs) — multifunctional surfactant for antifoam, PU foam control, release agent, textile antistatic agents, and care products. Main applications: textile antistatic agent, antifoam booster, PU foam stabilizer.

Silicone polyether copolymers like Bluesil SP 3300 are multifunctional surfactants—used as antifoam boosters, PU foam stabilizers, antistatic agents for textiles, release agents, and components in personal care products. Typical dosage is 2–3% depending on the application. Complete solubility is only achieved below the cloud point (typically ~45 °C); above this temperature, the product precipitates, but this precipitation is reversible.

Store in the unopened original container in a dry, cool place — typically standard between +5 and +30 °C, exact values see TDS. Consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Observe the expiration date on the packaging — Elkem guarantees the sales specifications only up to the stated date.
