Bonderite L-GP 554/20 (formerly DAG 554/20) is a fume-free, water-based press and die forging lubricant—a colloidal graphite dispersion in water for aluminum extrusion presses. The die is immersed in diluted material directly after extrusion, forming a graphite film with excellent lubrication/release properties and necessary cooling.

Bonderite L-GP 554/20: Fume-free, water-based press and die forging lubricant with colloidal graphite — specially formulated for aluminum extrusion, offering excellent lubrication and release properties. Main applications: Aluminum extrusion, hot forging of steel, hot pressing of aluminum and brass.
Lubricating greases and oil-based concentrates (L-GP OD, L-GP YA, L-GP AGU+) are preferred for: 1) lubrication points with continuous lubrication (bearings, chain links), 2) very high temperatures combined with corrosive environments (AGU+ up to +1,000 °C), 3) anti-seize requirements with guaranteed disassembly, 4) tool lubrication in hot forming with swab application. Dry films are suitable where cleanliness and electrical properties are critical.
Store in the unopened original container in a dry, cool place — typically between +5 and +40 °C, see TDS for exact values. Protect water-based products from freezing. Consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Observe the expiry date on the packaging. Store aerosol sprays at a low temperature and in a well-ventilated area.
