About SILIRESIN
SILIRESIN is SILITECH's own brand of polyurethane. The SILIRESIN Biothan series of casting resins are two-component systems covering a broad hardness range from soft (Shore A) to hard (Shore D). They are cured with the specially formulated hardeners from the SILIRESIN Biodur series: This combination determines the mixing ratio, pot life, and final hardness, thus ensuring reproducibility from component to component. Typical applications include potting, mold making, prototypes and small production runs, as well as electrical potting. Shore hardness, pot life, viscosity, mechanical strength, and compatibility with your existing processes are key selection criteria. We provide technical support, data sheets (TDS, SDS), and testing of alternatives; delivery is available from our warehouse in Gümligen.

The hardeners are specifically formulated for Biothan casting resins. They determine the mixing ratio, pot life, and final hardness. Resin and hardener are used as a tested combination, not mixed freely.

Are the products available from stock?
SILIRESIN standard products are generally available for immediate delivery from our Gümligen warehouse. We will confirm availability and delivery date upon order processing. Special orders are project-specific and require corresponding lead time.
Will I receive advice on product selection?
Yes. Describe the application, desired hardness, pot life, and component geometry. We will check suitable combinations of Biothan resin and Biodur hardener based on the technical data sheets and suggest alternatives if another system is a better fit.
Are there technical data sheets and safety data sheets (SDS)?
Yes. We provide technical data sheets (TDS) and safety data sheets (SDS) upon request. They form the basis for product selection, processing, and occupational safety.
