Technical grade acetone is a colorless, fast-evaporating solvent for industrial and commercial applications. It is suitable for numerous cleaning, degreasing, and processing operations and is used wherever residues need to be reliably dissolved and surfaces need to dry quickly. According to the safety data sheet, it is technical grade acetone, CAS 67-64-1, intended for industrial use.
Due to its strong dissolving power, acetone is a proven aid in surface preparation, technical cleaning, and as a component of solvent-based applications. The colorless liquid evaporates quickly, is readily soluble in water, and has a density of approximately 0.79 g/cm³ . Its boiling point is 56 °C.

Acetone is used technically for, among other things:
- Cleaning and degreasing of tools, metal parts and technical surfaces
- Removal of oils, fats, resins and production-related residues
- Use in industrial cleaning processes and surface preparation
- Use in solvent-based formulations, depending on the process and release
