What are EDAG coatings?
EDAG (Electrodag) are electrically conductive coatings based on silver, copper, or graphite. They are used for EMC shielding of electronic enclosures, conductive structures on flexible substrates, and repair of printed circuit boards. Application methods: spraying, brushing, dipping, or screen printing. Conductivity, layer thickness, and drying are product-specific; the technical data sheet is decisive.
Which cleaner for surface preparation?
The choice depends on the substrate and the subsequent processing: Bonderite cleaners for industrial metal cleaning, isopropanol or special silicone removers (SILISIL Silicone Remover) for the preparation of bonding surfaces. For electronics, CRC cleaners and contact sprays are suitable. We recommend testing material compatibility and adhesion on the original substrate in advance; we support you in the selection.
