Acrystal Retarder – Additive to extend processing time

Acrystal Retarder is a liquid, transparent, non-toxic, odorless additive specifically formulated to extend the pot life and thus the working time of Acrystal products. Its properties slightly thin the mixture in the initial phase, resulting in a longer setting and curing time. This allows for relaxed and precise work, especially with large laminates or when using a spray gun.

The additive is mixed directly into the Acrystal liquid before the powder is added. The dosage depends on the Acrystal product used, the age of the material, and the application temperature. Overdosing should be avoided, as this can prevent setting and impair the mechanical properties of the final product.

Processing instructions

• Add the retarder directly to the Acrystal liquid before mixing the powder and liquid
• Recommended amount at 20 °C: 0.2–1% of the total weight
• Maximum quantity: 2 %
• Adjust the quantity depending on the product, age, and ambient temperature
• Avoid overdosing to prevent negative effects on setting and strength
