Soft, addition-curing 2K silicone for printing molds and silicone sleeves, ready to use without dilution.

BLUESIL RTV 3410 QC A&B is a two-component silicone elastomer that cures at room temperature via a polyaddition reaction, resulting in a durable, elastic material. The product is designed for soft applications, particularly the production of printing pads and silicone sleeves for preparing printing rollers in the tile industry. With a Shore A hardness of approximately 12 and low linear shrinkage, it is ready to use and requires no dilution.

Soft, fast, retains its shape

Mixed in a 100:10 ratio (A:B), pot life approximately 10 minutes at 23 °C, demolding after 30 to 40 minutes. Due to the very rapid curing, Elkem recommends mixing under vacuum or with an automatic dosing machine to avoid air inclusions.

What makes the RTV 3410 QC stand out

Low hardness
Shore A approximately 12 on a 6 mm thick test specimen, soft elastomer for flexible shapes.
Low shrinkage
Linear shrinkage 0.1% after curing at 23°C, good dimensional accuracy.
Ready to use
Can be used undiluted; mix both components again before use.
Fast curing
Pot life approximately 10 minutes, demolding after 30 to 40 minutes at 23 °C.
Elastic and durable
Tensile strength approximately 2.0 MPa, elongation at break approximately 200%, tear strength approximately 4.0 kN/m.

What is the RTV 3410 QC used for?

Pressure pads
Production of printing pads for pad printing applications.
silicone sleeves
Silicone sleeves for preparing printing rollers in the tile industry.
Soft molded parts
Anywhere a soft silicone material is needed.

Processing

1
Mixing
Re-mix components A and B before each use.
2
Mixing
Mix 100 parts A with 10 parts B, under vacuum or with an automatic dosing machine to avoid air bubbles due to rapid hardening.
3
Pour
Pour the mixture slowly into the mold; a release agent is usually not required, and slow pouring reduces air inclusions.
4
Curing
Curing at room temperature, demolding after 30 to 40 minutes at 23 °C.

Important Notes

  • Risk of inhibition: Contact with sulfur-vulcanized natural rubbers, RTV elastomers catalyzed with metal salts, PVC stabilizers, or epoxy catalysts can inhibit crosslinking. If in doubt, perform a preliminary test and use the degassing system only for this specific type of RTV.
  • Store in original packaging below 40 °C for up to 12 months from the date of manufacture.
  • The currently valid Elkem data sheet (TDS and SDS) is authoritative, which we will be happy to send you.
