LOCTITE® EA 109 – High-temperature epoxy adhesive for industrial, automotive & magnetic bonding

LOCTITE® EA 109 is a high-performance, one-component, very high-viscosity epoxy adhesive specifically formulated for applications requiring high mechanical strength, heat resistance, and permanent adhesion. The adhesive offers excellent shear, splitting, tensile, and impact strength and is ideal for structural bonding in numerous industrial sectors.


Typical applications include the automotive industry, general manufacturing, magnetic bonding, filter end caps, and other demanding applications where materials need to be permanently bonded. Due to its electrically non-conductive properties, LOCTITE EA 109 can also be used in electronic or sensitive components.


For maximum performance, heat curing is recommended. The working time is approximately 3 minutes, and the setting time is up to 240 minutes – ideal for precise positioning before curing. After complete curing, the adhesive achieves a shear strength of up to 30 N/mm². The product is cream-colored, has a viscosity of approximately 150,000 mPa·s, and comes in a 320 ml cartridge.
