Selection

Why PFPE is so resistant

Perfluorination, fluorine atoms instead of hydrogen, makes PFPE chemically extremely inert and thermally stable. This results in compatibility with oxygen and aggressive media as well as a very wide temperature range that exceeds conventional oils.

Use economically and correctly

PFPE is high-priced. Its use is particularly worthwhile as a lifetime lubrication at hard-to-reach, critical points where a failure would be expensive or re-lubrication is hardly possible. There, the long service life often compensates for the additional costs.

Can I mix PFPE with other oils?

No. PFPE is not miscible with many conventional oils; thoroughly remove residues of other lubricants beforehand.

Is PFPE suitable for oxygen applications?
