Acrystal (Art & Prototyping)

Acrystal for Art and Prototyping. Mineral-acrylic casting systems with precise detail reproduction

Acrystal is a two-component, water-based casting and coating system: liquid acrylic resin is mixed with mineral powder and cures without solvents. The material reproduces fine details precisely and produces hard, stone-like surfaces that can be sanded, polished, colored, and patinated. It is intended for artists, studios, model makers, design offices, and technical users who want to cleanly cast or laminate objects, even indoors.

Typical Applications

  • Sculptures and reproductions in art
  • Architectural models and design objects
  • Model making and prototyping
  • Thin-walled, glass fiber reinforced laminates and coatings
  • Production of technical parts

What matters when selecting

The decisive factors are object size, wall thickness, and technique: solid casting, thin-walled laminate with fiberglass reinforcement, or coating. In addition, finish and processing time play a role. The product range is divided into base materials and resins as a basis, as well as colors and pigments for design. Mixing ratios and processing details can be found in the respective technical data sheet.

Describe your project to us: object, size, technique, and desired finish. We will check suitable Acrystal systems based on the data sheets, suggest alternatives if necessary, and generally deliver common products promptly from our Gümligen warehouse.
