Acrystal Thixotropierer – Highly effective additive for adjusting the viscosity of Acrystal products
The Acrystal Thixotropic Agent is a liquid, opaque, non-toxic additive without odor, specifically developed to adjust the viscosity of Acrystal products. It facilitates adhesion to vertical surfaces such as mold sides, mold sockets, and polystyrene foam cores, and enables precise processing without unwanted runoff of the mixture. Especially when using Acrystal Gelcoats or when spraying with a gun, the use of the thixotropic agent is indispensable.
The additive is slowly stirred in at the end of the mixing process (liquid + powder) until the desired consistency is achieved. When the recommended dosage is observed, the mechanical properties of the end product are not impaired. An excess, on the other hand, can prevent curing and reduce stability.

Processing instructions
- Addition at the end of the mixing process (liquid + powder)
- Stir in slowly until the desired consistency is achieved
- Mixing speed: < 300 rpm
- Recommended amount at 20 °C: 0.2 – 0.3% of total weight
- Maximum quantity: 1 %
- Avoid overdosing, as this can prevent curing and impair mechanical properties
