Processing

1
Clean substrate
Bonding surfaces clean, dry, and grease-free. For thermal applications, degrease surfaces particularly carefully.
2
Application
Apply with brush, spatula, or paste gun — for thermal pastes, apply thinly and evenly (excess layer thickness reduces thermal conductivity).
3
Optionally dilute
For thin layers: dilute the paste in aliphatic or chlorinated solvents. For standard application, use undiluted.
4
Spreading / Pressing
For thermal bonding, join components with defined contact pressure — allow excess paste to escape.
5
Curing / Use
Pastes generally remain non-crosslinking — can be used immediately. Do not exceed typical thermal stress of 250 °C.

Frequently asked questions about Paste 340

Practical application and design questions — answered by SILITECH.

Bluesil Paste 340: Thermally conductive silicone paste (PDMS + inert fillers) for thermal bonding between components — low viscosity change, dielectric insulating. Main applications: Electronic thermal bonding, sensor thermal sealing, household appliance resistors.

Apply to clean, dry surfaces — degrease beforehand if necessary. Application with brush, spatula, or paste gun. For thermal pastes, apply thinly and evenly — excessive layer thickness reduces thermal conductivity. Pastes can be diluted with aliphatic or chlorinated solvents if thin layers are required.

Store in the unopened original container in a dry, cool place — typically standard between +5 and +30 °C, exact values see TDS. Consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Observe the expiration date on the packaging — Elkem guarantees the sales specifications only up to the stated date.

In the comparison table above, you will find related products with similar functions or related specifications. If you are unsure about the optimal choice, we will be happy to advise you — contact SILITECH with your application (desired property, substrate, processing workflow).
