Frequently Asked Questions about Vacuum GRS
Practical application and design questions — answered by SILITECH.
Bluesil Vacuum Grease: Silicone high-vacuum grease for vacuum seals, ground joints, and laboratory vacuum applications — very low vapor pressure, chemically inert. Main applications: vacuum ground joints, vacuum valves, high-vacuum systems.
Prepare the surfaces to be lubricated clean, dry, and degreased. Silicone grease is not compatible with mineral greases — carefully remove any old mineral grease beforehand. Apply with a brush, spatula, or grease gun. Important: Silicone greases must not be used for lubricating oxygen systems (explosion hazard).
Store in the unopened original container in a dry, cool place — typically standard between +5 and +30 °C, exact values see TDS. Consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Observe the expiration date on the packaging — Elkem guarantees the sales specifications only up to the stated date.
In the comparison table above, you will find related products with similar functions or related specifications. If you are unsure about the optimal choice, we will be happy to advise you — contact SILITECH with your application (desired property, substrate, processing workflow).
