NSR Food FPS Spray is a silicone-free wet film mold release agent with NSF M1 registration no. 155325 — specifically for food contact packaging materials. It improves the surface finish of PLA, PC, PE, and PP. Material transfer to the molded parts is minimized (silicone-free) — ideal for components that require post-processing (painting, printing, bonding).

Processing

Prepare the mold
The container must be clean, dry, and free of contaminants. If the container will be in direct contact with food, adhere to food industry hygiene standards.

Shake the aerosol can
Stir thoroughly before use — active ingredients must be evenly distributed in the propellant.

Apply a thin, even film
Spray onto the clean, dry mold from a distance of 20–30 cm — minimal material transfer means cleaner components.

Allow the solvent to evaporate
Allow to air dry briefly until the solvents have evaporated — typically a few minutes for NSR Food FPS.

Fill and demold the mold
Fill the mold with food packaging — a silicone-free release agent allows subsequent printing, varnishing or gluing of the packaging.

Repeat when the effect diminishes
Depending on the stress, the release film can withstand several cycles — repeat the process if droplets form or the film adheres.

For direct food contact, you need an NSF-certified product — NSR Food FPS Spray is NSF M1-registered (Reg. No. 155325) for food contact packaging. Important: silicone-free formulation, as silicone films block printing, painting, or bonding of packaging. For machine parts with indirect food contact (conveyor belt, lubrication), also check H1-certified lubricants — such as SILISIL Silicone Spray STM 835 Medical with Dimethicone EP.

No. Silicone sprays leave a water-repellent silicone film that prevents the adhesion of paints, adhesives, and coatings. Do not apply to surfaces that will later be painted or overlaid, or clean thoroughly beforehand with SILISIL Silicone Remover.

Store aerosol can below +50 °C, protect from direct sunlight, keep away from ignition sources. Pressure container — do not forcibly open or incinerate, even after use. In unopened original packaging, shelf life according to SDS — observe the printed expiry date.

Polyester/Epoxy resin composites: Wax-based sprays — Neukadur P6 (UP/EP special), Wax Release Spray G&P (silicone-free, polishable up to +90 °C), Release Spray TRS (silicone-free up to +120 °C). Polyurethane challenges: ACHEM SG-1001S with highest release reserve for multiple demoldings. Food packaging: NSR Food FPS Spray with NSF M1 registration No. 155325. If uncertain about material compatibility, always perform a small test pour.
