Permabond MT3821 is a 2:1 modified 2K epoxy adhesive (thixotropic, black) for flexible bonding — supple, excellent adhesion to nylon, ABS, polycarbonate.

Permabond two-component epoxy adhesives — room temperature curing, with good gap filling, excellent multi-substrate adhesion and potting suitability. MT3821 is tailored to specific applications — the most important properties and areas of application are listed below.

Flexible + thixotropic black

Permabond MT3821 is a flexible variant of MT382 — 2:1 mixing ratio with a smooth, thixotropic consistency in black. Excellent adhesion to engineering plastics, complete curing at room temperature.

Processing

Clean substrate
Degrease and dry bonding surfaces with Permabond Cleaner A — if necessary, sand for mechanical clamping.

Primer (if required)
Permabond 2K Primer Kit for critical substrates.

Mix A and B
Mix at the specified ratio (see TDS, typically 1:1, 2:1 or 10:1). Homogenize thoroughly — no streaks.

Application
Apply to an adhesive surface within the pot life. For dual cartridges, use directly with a static mixer.

Joining components
Apply pressure and join, fix position until initial cross-linking occurs.

Room temperature curing
24 hours at 23 °C for handling strength, 48 hours for full cross-linking. Can be accelerated with heat.
