Frequently asked questions about Fluid 47 V 600'000
Practical application and design questions — answered by SILITECH.
Bluesil Fluid 47 V 600,000: High-viscosity PDMS oil (600,000 mm²/s) for the most demanding damping and conditioning applications — pasty, with extremely long service life. Main applications: Highest damping, premium conditioning, industrial antifoam.
PDMS (Polydimethylsiloxane) is a linear silicone fluid with high thermal stability, low surface tension, very good dielectric properties, and broad temperature resistance. The viscosity (in mm²/s = cSt) determines the field of application — low viscosities for volatile lubrication and hydraulics, high viscosities for antifoam, damping, and care conditioning.
Store in the unopened original container in a dry, cool place — typically standard between +5 and +30 °C, exact values see TDS. Consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Observe the expiration date on the packaging — Elkem guarantees the sales specifications only up to the stated date.
