SILIRESIN Biothan 1750 – Tough, hard, crystal-clear casting and coating resin with over 55% renewable raw materials
Biothan® 1750 is an innovative casting and coating resin based on over 55% renewable raw materials. In combination with the hardeners Biodur® M 330 or Biodur® M330/395 , it creates a high-performance system characterized by its toughness, water resistance, and excellent UV stability .
Thanks to its special formulation, Biothan® 1750 is completely label-free, toxicologically safe, and can be processed even in humid environments or underwater. With its crystal-clear appearance and high tear resistance, it is ideally suited for thin-film encapsulation of LEDs, transparent coatings, or as an electrical casting resin and adhesive.
The system offers a very good ratio of processing to demolding time and allows for precise adjustment of hardness by varying the mixing ratio. This makes it the ideal choice for demanding applications in the electrical and electronics industries.
