SILISIL RTV RP-Tough 45 A is a room temperature vulcanizing 2-component silicone of the RP — Rapid Prototypingseries (Addition (Platinum), transparent, high strength, RTV-2) — Transparent high-performance silicone Shore A 41 for aggressive resin casting in rapid prototyping.

The mixture is prepared in a 1:10 ratio by weight . Pot life at 23 °C is approximately 75 minutes, demolding is possible after approximately 13 hours, and complete curing takes 24 hours. Temperature resistant from -40 °C to +200 °C.

Prepare the original
Clean, dry, and dust-free surface at 23 °C — cooler environments significantly extend pot life and curing time.

Mix components
Stir the base and catalyst thoroughly before use. Weigh out 1:10 by weight. Mix thoroughly, including the sides and bottom of the container.

Vacuum degassing
For a pore-free mold, briefly vent under vacuum.

Processing
Pour in a thin stream from a height of approximately 30 cm — minimizing air bubbles. For modeling clay, press directly onto the model.

Vulcanize and demold
At 23 °C, demolding is possible after approximately 13 hours, and complete hardening occurs after 24 hours.

Important Notes

Avoid crosslinking inhibitors
Addition system (platinum) — sensitive to sulfur, amine, tin, and phosphorus compounds. Avoid contact with latex gloves and PVC plasticizers.
Storage and Shelf Life
Shelf life of at least 12 months in unopened original container when stored in a dry, cool place (10–25 °C). Consult the SDS before opening.

Compatibility
Compatible with polyurethane, epoxy, and polyester casting resins. For aggressive resins, apply a release agent.
