Product Description

SILISIL Silicone Oil 100'000 cSt is an ultra-viscous PDMS for anti-foam concentrates, premium damping, and high-end personal care.

SILISIL Silicone Oils are high-purity linear polydimethylsiloxane fluids (PDMS) with 100% purity. The viscosity of 100'000 cSt defines the application spectrum — from lubrication via release agents and hydraulic functions to specialized care and industrial applications.

Anti-foam class

100'000 cSt is the standard viscosity for anti-foam concentrates in the petroleum industry — an effective defoamer at extremely low dosages of 1-10 ppm.

Important Notes

Storage & Handling
Store in the unopened original container in a dry, cool place (ideally <60 °C). Avoid eye contact. Consult the SDS before opening.
Solvent compatibility
Soluble in aromatic, aliphatic, and chlorinated solvents. Not miscible with water and alcohols.
Release agent effect before painting
Standard PDMS prevents paint adhesion on subsequent coatings. For paintable applications, choose SILISIL Silicone Oil – Paintable Grade.

Frequently Asked Questions about SILISIL Silicone Oil 100'000 cSt

Practical application and design questions — answered by SILITECH.

SILISIL Silicone Oil 100'000 cSt: Ultra-viscous PDMS for anti-foam concentrates, premium damping, and high-end personal care. Main applications include antifoam in the petroleum industry, high-end personal care, and premium vibration dampers.

PDMS (polydimethylsiloxane) is a linear silicone fluid that combines high thermal stability, low surface tension, very good dielectric properties, and broad temperature resistance. The viscosity (measured in centistokes, cSt) determines the field of application — low viscosities are suitable for volatile applications and lubrication, high viscosities for damping and conditioners.

SILISIL Silicone Oils are soluble in aromatic, aliphatic, and chlorinated solvents (e.g., toluene, xylene, hexane, diesel). They are not miscible with water and alcohols. For anti-foam applications, high-viscosity PDMS is diluted in hydrocarbon solvents and introduced using a dosing pump.

Store in the unopened original container at room temperature (ideally below 60 °C). Avoid eye contact. SILISIL Silicone Oils are generally non-toxic, odorless, and tasteless — nevertheless, consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS), which is available in the "Documents" tab.

The viscosity determines the application. 100'000 cSt is optimal for: antifoam in the petroleum industry and similar application profiles. For other application characteristics, you will find related viscosities in the comparison table above — if you are unsure, we will be happy to advise you on your specific application.
