Defense and security systems are exposed to shock and continuous vibration, humidity, salt spray, propellants and cleaning agents, as well as wide temperature ranges. Furthermore, they face long storage and operating times: connections, potting compounds, and lubrication points must remain stable for years, often without the possibility of rework. Typical applications include vibration-loaded bonding and sealing of housings and assemblies, potting of electronics and sensors against moisture and vibration, and lubrication of moving mechanisms. Relevant selection criteria include temperature range, media contact, mechanical stress, aging behavior, and processing in the manufacturing process, each based on the technical data sheets. For qualification and acceptance testing, we provide support with TDS, SDS, and, upon request, batch traceability, and recommend suitability tests on the original substrate and in the actual process.
