In mechanical and plant engineering, connections must withstand vibration, temperature fluctuations, and contact with various media over the long term: at bolted connections, shaft-hub connections, flanges, and pipe threads. Anaerobic adhesives secure screws against self-loosening, create a force-fit connection between shaft-hubs, and seal surfaces and threads against operating media such as oils, coolants, and hydraulic fluids. Surface seals can be formed directly from the cartridge (FIPG) as an alternative to prefabricated seals. Industrial lubricants and special greases are used for guides, bearings, and joints, selected according to load, speed, temperature, and material pairing. Strength class, ease of disassembly, clearance dimension, and substrate determine the appropriate product: The selection is made based on the technical data sheets and tested in the actual process.
