BLUESIL Paste 340
BLUESIL Paste 340
Bluesil · Elkem Silicones ·

Bluesil Paste 340 is a thermally conductive silicone paste (PDMS + inert fillers) for thermal bonding between components — low viscosity change, dielectrically insulating.

Bluesil/Silbione silicone pastes — filled PDMS compounds for thermal bonding, vacuum sealing, dielectric insulation, and heat conduction applications. Paste 340 is tailored to specific applications — the most important properties and areas of application are listed below.

Thermal conductivity 0.41 W/m·K

Bluesil Paste 340 is a thermally conductive silicone paste based on PDMS with inert fillers — good thermal dissipation (0.41 W/m·K), chemically inert, good dielectric properties. Proven in the electronic thermal interface of sensors, resistors and thermal seals.

processing

1
clean substrate
Bonding surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of grease. For thermally conductive applications, degrease surfaces particularly thoroughly.
2
Apply
Apply with a brush, spatula or paste gun — using thermally conductive pastes, apply thinly and evenly (excess layer thickness reduces heat conduction).
3
Dilute optionally
For thin layers: Dilute the paste in aliphatic or chlorinated solvents. For standard applications, use undiluted.
4
Distribute / Press
When applying heat, join components with a defined contact force — allow excess paste to escape.
5
Curing / Use
Pastes generally remain non-crosslinking and can be used immediately. Do not exceed typical temperatures of 250 °C under thermal stress.

Frequently asked questions about Paste 340

Practical application and design questions — answered by SILITECH.

Bluesil Paste 340: Thermally conductive silicone paste (PDMS + inert fillers) for thermal bonding between components — low viscosity change, dielectric insulating. Main applications: Electronic thermal bonding, sensor thermal sealing, household appliance resistors.

Apply to clean, dry surfaces—degrease beforehand if necessary. Apply with a brush, spatula, or paste gun. Apply thermally conductive pastes thinly and evenly—excess layer thickness reduces thermal conductivity. Pastes can be diluted in aliphatic or chlorinated solvents if thin layers are required.

Store in the unopened original container in a dry, cool place — typically between +5 and +30 °C, see TDS for exact values. Consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Observe the expiry date on the packaging — Elkem guarantees the product's specifications only until the date shown.

The comparison table above lists related products with similar functions or specifications. If you are unsure which product is best, we would be happy to advise you — contact SILITECH with details of your application (desired properties, substrate, processing workflow).
