BONDERITE L-GP 318
Water-based PTFE dispersion for solvent-sensitive areas.
BONDERITE L-GP 318 ACHESON is a resin-bonded, water-based PTFE dispersion for producing dry lubricating films. The lubricant film provides dry lubrication and release properties for a variety of industrial applications and can be applied by spraying, dipping, brushing, or tumbling. Clean, grease-free, dust-free, and completely dry substrates are prerequisites for maximum adhesion.

Bonderite L-GP 318 is a water-based PTFE dispersion (EMRALON 318) for solvent-sensitive areas — resin-bonded, thin dry film with excellent lubricating and non-stick properties, applicable on flexible substrates.
Bonderite L-GP dry-film lubricants from Henkel/Acheson — graphite, PTFE, MoS₂, or boron nitride dispersions that form a firmly adhering film with a low coefficient of friction and release properties after drying. L-GP 318 is tailored to specific industrial applications — the key properties and areas of use are listed below.
Bonderite L-GP 318 (formerly EMRALON 318) is a resin-bonded polytetrafluoroethylene dry-film lubricant with water as the carrier medium — ideal for areas with solvent bans or restricted ventilation. Flexible — can be applied to non-rigid materials such as plastics (e.g., seals) as well as to rigid metal substrates.

Frequently asked questions about L-GP 318
Practical application and design questions — answered by SILITECH.
Bonderite L-GP 318: Water-based PTFE dispersion (EMRALON 318) for solvent-sensitive areas — resin-bonded, thin dry film with excellent lubricating and anti-stick properties, applicable on flexible substrates. Main applications: solvent-sensitive areas, plastic substrate coating, general dry film lubrication.
After evaporation of the carrier (water, solvent, or MIBK), dry film lubricants form a firmly adhering lubricating film of solid lubricant (graphite, MoS₂, PTFE, or boron nitride). Advantages over liquid lubricants: no migration, lifelong lubrication in many applications, high-temperature suitability, substrate versatility (wood, metal, plastic, glass), electrically conductive possible (graphite) or highly insulating (boron nitride).
Store in the unopened original container in a dry, cool place — typically between +5 and +40 °C, exact values see TDS. Protect water-based products from frost. Consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Observe the expiry date on the packaging. Store aerosol sprays at low temperature and in a well-ventilated area.
In the comparison table above, you will find related Bonderite products with different properties — different carrier, different solid lubricant, different temperature range, or different application specialization. If you are unsure about the optimal choice, we will be happy to advise you — contact SILITECH with your specific application (substrate, temperature, load, processing workflow).
