Colloidal carbon dispersion in MIBK for the production of electrically conductive coatings.

BONDERITE L-GP 6013 ACHESON is a colloidal graphite dispersion in MIBK for creating electrically conductive coatings. The films are characterized by excellent flexibility and adhesion. The product is stirred before use and applied by brush, sprayer, or dip, depending on the method, with up to one part thinner. The film is ready for use after at least four hours of air drying; forced drying at 120 °C for 30 minutes improves adhesion and reduces electrical resistance.

Bonderite L-GP 6013 (180 kg) is a colloidal carbon dispersion in MIBK (DAG 6013) for the production of electrically conductive coatings — excellent adhesion and flexibility, miscible with various resin systems, impregnation of capacitor paper.

Bonderite L-GP dry film lubricants from Henkel/Acheson — graphite, PTFE, MoS₂, or boron nitride dispersions that, after drying, form a tightly adhering film with a low coefficient of friction and release properties. L-GP 6013 is tailored to specific industrial applications — the most important properties and areas of application are listed below.

DAG 6013 — electrically conductive coating

Bonderite L-GP 6013 (formerly DAG 6013) is a colloidal dispersion of carbon in MIBK for the production of electrically conductive coatings with excellent adhesion and flexibility properties. It is miscible with various resin systems for specialty coatings. Its main application is the impregnation of capacitor paper.

Processing

1
Clean substrate
Thoroughly degrease and dust the bonding surfaces — Bonderite L-MR or Permabond Cleaner A.
2
Stir dispersion
Homogenize well before use — for concentrates, dilute with the specified solvent if necessary.
3
Application
Spraying, dipping, brushing, or spraying aerosols — apply a uniform thin layer.
4
Evaporate solvent
Carrier evaporates — for water-based, heat can accelerate drying.
5
Polymerization/curing
At room temperature typically 15 min (BND60A, D31A) to several hours — some require heat curing (e.g., 150 °C for L-GP 333-1).
6
Application
Dry film ready to use — in high-temperature applications, the film continues to cure, and properties improve.

Frequently asked questions about L-GP 6013

Practical application and design questions — answered by SILITECH.

Bonderite L-GP 6013 (180 kg): Colloidal carbon dispersion in MIBK (DAG 6013) for the production of electrically conductive coatings — excellent adhesion and flexibility, miscible with various resin systems, impregnation of capacitor paper. Main applications: Capacitor paper impregnation, electrically conductive coatings, specialty resin coatings.

After evaporation of the carrier (water, solvent, or MIBK), dry film lubricants form a firmly adhering lubricating film of solid lubricant (graphite, MoS₂, PTFE, or boron nitride). Advantages over liquid lubricants: no migration, lifelong lubrication in many applications, high-temperature suitability, substrate versatility (wood, metal, plastic, glass), electrically conductive possible (graphite) or highly insulating (boron nitride).

Store in the unopened original container in a dry, cool place — typically between +5 and +40 °C, exact values see TDS. Protect water-based products from frost. Consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Observe the expiry date on the packaging. Store aerosol sprays at low temperature and in a well-ventilated area.

In the comparison table above, you will find related Bonderite products with different properties — different carrier, different solid lubricant, different temperature range, or different application specialization. If you are unsure about the optimal choice, we will be happy to advise you — contact SILITECH with your specific application (substrate, temperature, load, processing workflow).
