Silicone resins. Thermally resistant binders and coatings

Silicone resins combine the thermal stability of silicones with the hardness and adhesion of classic resin systems. They are suitable for high-temperature coatings, electrical insulation, and weather-resistant protective coatings; depending on the product, continuous operating temperatures of over 250 °C are possible (see technical data sheet for details).

Typical applications

Coatings for ovens, exhaust systems and heating elements, insulation of electrical components and windings, and protection of surfaces exposed to heat, UV radiation and weathering.

Crucial factors include operating temperature and temperature fluctuations, substrate and adhesion, layer structure, drying or curing conditions, and the desired protective effect. Electrical characteristics are product-specific and based on the manufacturer's documentation.
