LOCTITE® EA 3421 – Universal 2-component epoxy adhesive for metals, plastics, glass & wood

LOCTITE® EA 3421 is a high-quality, two-component epoxy adhesive with a long working time, medium viscosity, and excellent moisture resistance. The product is ideally suited for structural bonding on metal, ceramic, wood, glass, thermosets , and many other substrates.

Thanks to its slow curing at room temperature, LOCTITE EA 3421 offers sufficient time for adjustment, making it ideal for large-area bonding and demanding industrial applications.

Characteristics:

  • 2-component epoxy resin | Mixing ratio: 1:1 (volume)
  • Processing time: 30–150 minutes (at 25 °C, 200 g batch)
  • Handling strength: after approx. 4 hours at 22 °C
  • Final strength: after approx. 36 hours at room temperature
  • Shore D hardness: 70–80
  • Tensile strength: up to 28 N/mm²
  • Shear strength: up to 25 N/mm² (steel)
  • Glass transition temperature: approx. 55 °C
  • Electrically insulating (contact resistance: 10¹⁵ Ω·cm)

Applications:

  • Structural bonding in mechanical engineering, electronics, and vehicle construction
  • Bonding of metal, wood, GRP, ceramics, plastics (e.g. ABS, PC)
  • Resistant to water, oil, acids and moisture
