LOCTITE® SF 7061™ – Highly effective solvent-based cleaner for surface pretreatment

LOCTITE® SF 7061™ is a solvent-based, CFC-free cleaner specifically formulated for cleaning and degreasing surfaces prior to the application of LOCTITE® adhesives. It effectively removes grease, oil, lubricants, metal shavings, and fine particles from surfaces to ensure optimal adhesion and curing of the adhesives. The cleaner is acetone- and alcohol-based and leaves no corrosive residue.

Typical areas of application:

• Surface pretreatment for adhesive bonds: Prepares surfaces to ensure optimal adhesion and curing of LOCTITE® adhesives.
• Industrial cleaning: Removal of oils and greases in workshops and production lines before bonding.
• General maintenance: Cleaning of parts and components that are subsequently to be glued or sealed.

Instructions for use:

• Cleaning: Generously spray the surfaces with LOCTITE® SF 7061™.
• Wiping: Wipe any still-damp surfaces with a clean cloth to remove dirt and excess solvent.
• Re-spraying: For thorough cleaning, spray again, preferably in a vertical position to allow the cleaner to run off.
• Allow to dry: Allow to dry completely before applying the adhesive to avoid air bubbles.
• Bonding: Apply the adhesive immediately to the clean surface and join the parts.
