Product Description

Bonderite L-FG 79 is a Bonderite forging release agent from the Deltaforge-79 series — detailed specification and application recommendation available via SILITECH consulting.

Bonderite L-FG lubricants from Henkel/Acheson are specially formulated for forging and extrusion applications — water- or oil-based graphite and MoS₂ dispersions with excellent lubrication and release properties at high tool temperatures. L-FG 79 is tailored to specific industrial applications — the most important properties and areas of application are listed below.

Deltaforge 79

Bonderite L-FG 79 (formerly Deltaforge 79) is a forging release agent from the Henkel Bonderite range for defined forging applications. Application recommendations are available from SILITECH.

Processing

1
Prepare forging tool
Keep tools and dies clean, free of old lubricant residues.
2
Dilute concentrate
Dilute with water in the specified ratio (see TDS) — typical dilutions: 1:10 to 1:50.
3
Application (spray or swab)
Apply to the hot tool using a spray system (automated) or brush/swab (manual).
4
Check tool temperature
The lubricant forms the optimal lubricating film at tool contact temperature.
5
Forging process
Die forging, pressing, hot stamping — lubricant reduces friction and protects the tool.
6
Tool maintenance
Check tools after shift/day, clean with Bonderite-Cleaner if necessary.

Frequently asked questions about L-FG 79

Practical application and design questions — answered by SILITECH.

Bonderite L-FG 79: Bonderite forging release agent from the Deltaforge-79 series — detailed specifications and application recommendations available through SILITECH consulting. Main applications: specialized forging applications, Bonderite standard applications, OEM applications.

Forging release agents are applied to the hot forging tool — at tool temperature, they form a lubricating film of micro-fine graphite (or synthetic lubricants in graphite-free variants such as F 605). They reduce friction between the workpiece and the die, extend tool service life, and enable higher dilution ratios. Bonderite L-FG 31 + F 31 (Deltaforge) are the most widely used standards worldwide.

Store in the unopened original container in a dry, cool place — typically between +5 and +40 °C, exact values see TDS. Protect water-based products from frost. Consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Observe the expiry date on the packaging. Store aerosol sprays at low temperature and in a well-ventilated area.

In the comparison table above, you will find related Bonderite products with different properties — different carrier, different solid lubricant, different temperature range, or different application specialization. If you are unsure about the optimal choice, we will be happy to advise you — contact SILITECH with your specific application (substrate, temperature, load, processing workflow).
