BLUESIL Fluid 47 V 1000

BLUESIL Fluid 47 V 1000 is a linear polydimethylsiloxane oil of the 47 series. It serves as a thermostatic fluid from -50 to +200 °C, as a dielectric fluid, as a thinner and plasticizer for RTV silicones and sealants, as a lubricant and heat protectant for textile yarns, as an additive in paints and varnishes to prevent craters and scratches, and for the hydrophobic treatment of powders and fibers. The oil offers very good heat and oxidation resistance, good dielectric properties, low surface tension, high shear stability, and minimal viscosity change with temperature.

Product Description

Bluesil Fluid 47 V 1000 is a linear PDMS oil (1,000 mm²/s) — higher viscosity for long-life lubrication, care products and industrial protective films.

Bluesil/Silbione polydimethylsiloxane oils (PDMS) — chemically inert, thermally stable, with defined viscosity, suitable for use as lubricants, separators, dielectrics, hydraulic fluids, and heat transfer fluids. Fluid 47 V 1000 is tailored to specific applications — the most important properties and areas of application are listed below.

1,000 mm²/s — long service life

Bluesil FLD 47V1'000 is the high-viscosity variant of the 47V50–47V1'000 series — thick, with a long service life as a lubricating and protective film. Proven in care products and as an RTV plasticizer.

Processing

1
Clean application surface
Degrease and dry the surface to be treated — a clean contact surface is important for uniform effectiveness.
2
Application
Spraying, dipping, brushing, or printing — depending on the application profile. At low viscosity, also suitable for airless spray application.
3
Apply
Uniform layer — thin for release agents, as needed for lubricants.
4
Waiting time / distribution time
For high-temperature applications, observe the drying time — check the antifoam dosage ratio.
5
Sealing + Storage
Seal remaining quantities airtight, store cool and dry — typical shelf life 36 months from manufacturing date.

Frequently asked questions about Fluid 47 V 1000

Practical application and design questions — answered by SILITECH.

Bluesil Fluid 47 V 1000: Linear PDMS oil (1,000 mm²/s) — higher viscosity for long-life lubrication, care products, and industrial protective films. Main applications: Care products, long-life release agents, RTV plasticizers.

PDMS (Polydimethylsiloxane) is a linear silicone fluid with high thermal stability, low surface tension, very good dielectric properties, and broad temperature resistance. The viscosity (in mm²/s = cSt) determines the field of application — low viscosities for volatile lubrication and hydraulics, high viscosities for antifoam, damping, and care conditioning.

Store in the unopened original container in a dry, cool place — typically standard between +5 and +30 °C, exact values see TDS. Consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Observe the expiration date on the packaging — Elkem guarantees the sales specifications only up to the stated date.

In the comparison table above, you will find related products with similar functions or related specifications. If you are unsure about the optimal choice, we will be happy to advise you — contact SILITECH with your application (desired property, substrate, processing workflow).
