SILISIL RTV RP-Tough 45DRY B is a two-component (2K) additive silicone from the SILISIL RP-Tough series for applications requiring exceptional mechanical strength, crack resistance, and abrasion resistance. The line includes systems with various B components (Oil B / Dry B) for different surface requirements.
The Shore A hardness of 45 positions the product in the range of medium-hard silicones (classic mold making, prototyping).

Processing and mixing

- Before processing, stir both components separately and then mix thoroughly in the specified ratio
- Degassing under vacuum (30–50 mbar) eliminates air inclusions and improves surface quality
- Ideally, processing should take place at 23 °C and 40–60% relative humidity
- Contamination by sulfur, amines, tin catalysts or PVC must be avoided in platinum-crosslinked systems — they prevent curing
Storage and shelf life
- Store in unopened original packaging at 5–25 °C, in a dry place and protected from sunlight
- Shelf life from date of manufacture as stated in the TDS — typically 12–24 months
- Carefully reseal after opening
