Product Description

SILISIL Silicone Oil 500'000 cSt is an ultra-high viscosity PDM — antifoam concentrate and premium conditioner base for special applications.

SILISIL Silicone Oils are high-purity linear polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) liquids with a purity of 100%. Their viscosity of 500,000 cSt defines their range of applications — from lubrication and release agents to hydraulic functions and specialized care and industrial applications.

Anti-foaming at 1 ppm

500,000 cSt provides antifoaming action at dosages as low as 1 ppm — the most economical solution for foam control in petroleum and petrochemical processes. Recommended processing: Dilution in hydrocarbon solvents.

Important Notes

Storage & Handling
Store in the unopened original container in a dry, cool place (ideally <60 °C). Avoid eye contact. Consult the SDS before opening.
Solvent compatibility
Soluble in aromatic, aliphatic, and chlorinated solvents. Not miscible with water and alcohols.
Release agent effect before painting
Standard PDMS prevents paint adhesion on subsequent coatings. For paintable applications, choose SILISIL Silicone Oil – Paintable Grade.

Frequently Asked Questions about SILISIL Silicone Oil 500,000 cSt

Practical application and design questions — answered by SILITECH.

SILISIL Silicone Oil 500,000 cSt: Ultra-high viscosity PDMS — antifoam concentrate and premium conditioner base for specialized applications. Main applications include petroleum production and refining, premium hair care, and detangling.

PDMS (polydimethylsiloxane) is a linear silicone fluid that combines high thermal stability, low surface tension, very good dielectric properties, and broad temperature resistance. The viscosity (measured in centistokes, cSt) determines the field of application — low viscosities are suitable for volatile applications and lubrication, high viscosities for damping and conditioners.

SILISIL Silicone Oils are soluble in aromatic, aliphatic, and chlorinated solvents (e.g., toluene, xylene, hexane, diesel). They are not miscible with water and alcohols. For anti-foam applications, high-viscosity PDMS is diluted in hydrocarbon solvents and introduced using a dosing pump.

Store in the unopened original container at room temperature (ideally below 60 °C). Avoid eye contact. SILISIL Silicone Oils are generally non-toxic, odorless, and tasteless — nevertheless, consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS), which is available in the "Documents" tab.

Viscosity determines the application. 500,000 cSt is optimal for: crude oil production & refining and similar application profiles. For other application characteristics, you will find related viscosities in the comparison table above — if you are unsure, we will be happy to advise you on your specific application.
