BLUESIL Paste B 431
Static lubrication as well as electrical insulation and protection at low temperatures in aggressive (acidic) atmospheres; protection of terminal boxes and connectors, cold protection of formed-in-place gaskets, lubrication of small mechanisms at extreme temperatures (-60 °C to +200 °C) and of aluminum on steel or aluminum.
BLUESIL Paste B 431 is a polydimethylsiloxane-based silicone paste with inert fillers for static lubrication, electrical insulation at low temperatures, and protection in aggressive atmospheres. It protects electrical equipment such as terminal boxes and connectors from moisture and corrosive environments, provides low-temperature sealing, cold protection for on-site molded seals, and lubricates small mechanisms from -60 to +200 °C, for example in air conditioning and refrigeration systems, and for bonding aluminum to steel or aluminum. The paste is resistant down to -60 °C, acid-resistant, self-leveling, chemically inert, and hydrophobic.

Frequently asked questions about Paste B 431
Practical application and design questions — answered by SILITECH.
Bluesil Paste B 431: Special silicone paste from the Bluesil series — tailored to defined industrial applications with specific requirements. Main applications: Special industrial applications, Bluesil applications, OEM applications.
Apply to clean, dry surfaces — degrease beforehand if necessary. Application with brush, spatula, or paste gun. For thermal pastes, apply thinly and evenly — excessive layer thickness reduces thermal conductivity. Pastes can be diluted with aliphatic or chlorinated solvents if thin layers are required.
Store in the unopened original container in a dry, cool place — typically standard between +5 and +30 °C, exact values see TDS. Consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Observe the expiration date on the packaging — Elkem guarantees the sales specifications only up to the stated date.
