Processing

Clean the CA substrate
Pre-clean bonding surfaces with Permabond Cleaner A.

Spray/brush on CSA
Apply a thin layer of CSA to one or both adhesive surfaces — especially important for difficult substrates.

Let it evaporate
Allow the solvent to evaporate briefly — typically 30 seconds to 1 minute.

Apply CA adhesive
Apply Permabond cyanoacrylate to one of the pre-treated bonding surfaces.

Joining + pressing

Permabond Activator CSA (1 L): Cyanoacrylate activator (1 liter, liquid) — accelerates the curing of Permabond CA adhesives, enhances gap-filling capacity, and activates difficult or porous surfaces. Main applications: Accelerating CA curing, difficult substrates (acidic/porous), large-gap CA bonding.

CSA activator (C Surface Activator) is applied to substrates prior to cyanoacrylate application if they are: 1) acidic or porous (wood, cardboard, some plastics—delay or prevent CA curing), 2) require large gap widths (CSA increases the gap-filling capacity of CA), 3) require very fast curing (high-throughput production). CSA is brushed or sprayed on, allowed to evaporate briefly, and then CA is applied.

Store in the unopened original container in a dry, cool place — Permabond adhesives typically between +5 and +25 °C, exact values see TDS. Consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Observe the expiry date on the packaging. Store cyanoacrylates cool (ideally refrigerated) for maximum shelf life.
