Gentle CA solvent

Permabond CA Solvent 2 is a mixture of organic esters for removing cured cyanoacrylate adhesives from surfaces and clothing, or for separating improperly joined components. Non-flammable, non-hazardous, with a flash point >100 °C.

Prepare component with CA residues
For heavily soiled components, mechanically remove coarse residues beforehand.

Apply CA Solvent 2
Spray onto the hardened CA residue or immerse the component in solvent.

Let absorb
Leave to act for several minutes — the solvent softens the hardened CA.

Remove CA residue mechanically
Wipe with a spatula, brush or cloth — can be repeated several times.
5
Clean and dry the component
After removal, clean with Cleaner A and allow to dry before re-gluing.

Cured cyanoacrylates can be removed with Permabond CA Solvent 2 — a mixture of organic esters that softens the CA. Procedure: Apply the solvent to the cured adhesive, allow it to work for several minutes, then remove it mechanically (spatula, cloth). Advantages over acetone or nitromethane: non-flammable (flash point >100 °C) and non-hazardous.

Store in the unopened original container in a dry, cool place — Permabond adhesives typically between +5 and +25 °C, see TDS for exact values. Consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use.
