Permabond ET5322A in a 25 kg industrial container is the resin component of a 2K epoxy specially developed for membrane filter bonding — low viscosity for micro gaps, 6 hour pot life for complex plant assemblies and low exothermicity for large mixing quantities.

ET5322 is a highly specialized 2K epoxy: The low viscosity (resin 20,000–30,000 mPa·s, hardener only 500–1,000 mPa·s) allows penetration into tightly tolerated micro-gaps — crucial for bonding membrane filters, where the adhesive must flow into fine geometries without impairing the function.

The unusually long pot life of 6 hours at 23 °C, combined with low exothermic behavior, makes ET5322 the ideal choice for high-volume production with large mixing volumes—even at higher curing temperatures, no critical heat generation occurs within the adhesive volume. The 100:10 volume mixing ratio (or 100:12 by weight) allows for precise dosing in industrial plants.

The 25 kg bulk container of component A is designed for high-volume users in the filter manufacturing, water treatment, and membrane systems industries. The corresponding hardener component ET5322B is purchased separately.

SPECIAL FEATURE

Permabond ET5322 — specially developed for bonding membrane filters. Its low viscosity (20,000–30,000 mPa·s resin, 500–1,000 mPa·s hardener) allows it to penetrate micro-gaps. The exceptionally long pot life of 6 hours and low exothermicity make this product ideal for large batch sizes and complex system assemblies — even at elevated curing temperatures, there is no heat buildup within the adhesive.

processing

1
Clean surfaces
Bonding surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of grease. Degrease with Permabond Cleaner A or a solvent (acetone, isopropanol). Lightly sand aluminum and copper to remove oxide layers.
2
Mix components A + B
For dual cartridges: Attach the mixing nozzle and press evenly (100:10 parts by volume / 100:12 parts by weight mixing ratio). For larger containers: Weigh out the resin and hardener in the correct ratio and mix thoroughly until no streaks are visible. Avoid air bubbles.
3
Apply adhesive + join components
Apply the mixed adhesive to the bonding surface within the pot life (6 hours @ 23 °C). Join the components with sufficient pressure to ensure the adhesive is distributed over the entire bonding surface.
4
Fix components in place during curing
Use a clamping device or vise to prevent the components from moving during curing. Wait for handling strength and functional strength to be determined according to the TDS (Technical Data Sheet).
5
Full curing at room temperature
Final strength is typically reached after 72 hours at 23 °C. Increasing the temperature by 8 °C halves the curing time; lower temperatures slow down the process. If required, optional post-curing at 60–80 °C for maximum strength.

Important instructions

Important instructions
ET5322A alone is not functional — obtain ET5322B (hardener, polyamines) separately. Strictly adhere to a mixing ratio of 100:10 parts by volume or 100:12 parts by weight. Use the mixed material within 6 hours. Full curing occurs after 72 hours at 23 °C; heat treatment accelerates curing. Store between 5–25 °C. Provisional TDS — consult Permabond/SILITECH before series production.
storage
Store at 5 to 25 °C. Keep 2K epoxy components in closed packaging — protect the hardener especially from moisture.

Frequently asked questions about Permabond ET5322A (25 kg)

Practical application and design questions — answered by SILITECH.

Premium membrane filter adhesive — low viscosity for micro-gap applications, 6-hour pot life, low exothermicity for large mixing volumes. The 2-component epoxy is mixed in a 100:10 volume / 100:12 weight ratio and offers a pot life of 6 hours @ 23 °C.

Mix both components in a ratio of 100:10 parts by volume / 100:12 parts by weight — use the mixing nozzle for dual cartridges; weigh precisely for larger containers. Apply within the pot life (6 hours @ 23 °C) and join components. Full curing typically occurs after 72 hours at room temperature.

The pot life of Permabond ET5322A (25 kg) is typically 6 hours at 23 °C. Higher temperatures shorten, lower temperatures lengthen the pot life. Mixing quantities above approximately 100 g may gel more quickly due to an exothermic reaction.

Permabond ET5322A (25 kg) typically bonds metals, composites, and plastics. For substrate-specific values, see TDS.

Permabond ET5322A (25 kg) does not have specific industry-specific approvals such as EU 10/2011 (food), UL94 (fire protection), or Boeing/Airbus (aerospace). For general industrial applications, the product is approved according to Permabond standards.

Permabond ET5322A (25 kg) is a two-component epoxy for membrane filter bonding — low viscosity, 6-hour pot life, 25 kg industrial container (100:10 parts by volume / 100:12 parts by weight mix, 6-hour pot life @ 23 °C). Permabond ET538 is a long-life 1:1 epoxy (1:1, 120–150 min pot life) — high strength, shorter pot life.

From the Permabond 2K epoxy range, select according to application, mixing ratio, and strength requirements: Permabond ET5322A (25 kg) (2K epoxy for membrane filter bonding — low viscosity); Permabond ET538 (long pot life 1:1); Permabond ET514 (standard industrial 1:1); Permabond ET5162 (food-approved). For aerospace applications, see ET515 (aircraft seat trays); for food applications, see ET5162 (EU 10/2011 + FDA); for thermal conductivity/fire protection, see ET5441 (UL94-V0).
