Permabond Initiator 41 is a no-mix activator (amber, <50 mPa·s) for Permabond TA structural adhesives — long open time possible, solvent-free, for brushing or spraying.

Permabond initiators for the TA structural adhesive range — no-mix activators for brushing or spraying on before the acrylate adhesive for immediate or delayed curing. Initiator 41 is tailored to specific applications — its key properties and areas of use are listed below.

No-mix activator for TA adhesives

Permabond Initiator 41 is used in conjunction with Permabond TA (Structural Acrylic) adhesives as a no-mix resin and activator system. Its solvent-free formulation allows for a long open time—alternatively, components can be joined immediately without waiting for evaporation.

Frequently asked questions about Initiator 41

Practical application and design questions — answered by SILITECH.

Permabond Initiator 41: No-mix activator (amber, <50 mPa·s) for Permabond TA structural adhesives — long open time possible, solvent-free, brush or spray application. Main applications: Permabond TA structural bonding, long working time, instant bonding.

Permabond TA structural adhesives utilize a no-mix system: initiator is brushed onto one bonding surface, TA adhesive onto the other—they react between the components during joining. No pre-mixing is required, and there is no pot life limit on the mixed compound. On-part life is 30 minutes—components can be joined with the TA adhesive after a delay following initiator application. Ideal for high-throughput structural bonding.

Store in the unopened original container in a dry, cool place — Permabond adhesives typically between +5 and +25 °C, see TDS for exact values. Consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Observe the expiry date on the packaging. Store cyanoacrylates in a cool place (ideally refrigerated) for maximum shelf life.

The comparison table above lists related Permabond products with different properties—viscosity, mixing ratio, special certification. If you are unsure which product is best, we would be happy to advise you—contact SILITECH with your specific application (substrate pairing, load, curing conditions).
