SILISIL RTV PC-Dura 30
SILISIL RTV PC-Dura 30
SILISIL ·

SILISIL RTV PC-Dura 30 is a room temperature vulcanizing 2-component silicone of the PC — polycondensationseries (polycondensation (tin catalyst), RTV-2) — 2K polycondensation silicone Shore A 30 — the robust addition alternative for aggressive substrates.

The mixture is prepared in a 100:5 ratio by weight . Pot life at 23 °C is approximately 60 minutes, demolding is possible after approximately 24 hours, and complete curing takes 72 hours. Temperature resistant from -40 °C to +200 °C.

Key property

Polycondensation silicone (tin catalyst) — no crosslinking inhibitors, no risk of poisoning from sulfur, amines, or PVC. The right choice for problematic substrates where addition silicones would fail.

What makes SILISIL RTV PC-Dura 30 stand out

Polycondensation system (tin) — no poisoning
The condensation system does not react to sulfur, amine and PVC inhibitors — certainly not even to problematic originals.
Shore A 30 with high tensile strength
Medium final hardness with high tear resistance — universally applicable for standard to demanding shapes.
Resistant to aggressive substrates
Robust against chemically unknown or aggressive originals.
No bleeding required
No vacuum venting required — suitable for workshops without a vacuum chamber.
Small dimensional change <1%
Minimal shrinkage — the shape remains dimensionally accurate after hardening.
Mixing ratio 100:5 by weight
Polycondensation standard with tin catalyst — small amount of catalyst allows pot life control.

What is SILISIL RTV PC-Dura 30 used for?

Substrates with crosslinking inhibitors
Sulfur-containing modeling clays, latex, PVC plasticizers, amines, some adhesive tapes — polycondensation is not sensitive to these.
Series and prototype parts
Robust permanent molds for industrial replicas, model and toolmaking with a long mold lifespan.
Ceramic stencil printing
Special mold for the ceramic screen printing process — dimensional accuracy and chemical resistance.
Concrete and cast stone replicas
Robust against alkaline concrete mixtures, paving stone and facade replicas in medium series.
Resin and polyester casting
Stable shape even with aggressive polyester and epoxy resins — for arts and crafts and industry.
Alternative for problematic originals
If the original contains sulfur, amines or other inhibitors and addition fails — PC-Dura 30 is the solution.

Processing

1
Prepare the original
Clean, dry, and dust-free surface at 23 °C — cooler environments significantly extend pot life and curing time.
2
Mix components
Stir the base and catalyst thoroughly before use. Weigh out a 100:5 ratio by weight. Mix thoroughly, including the sides and bottom of the container.
3
Use without venting
Polycondensation does not require a vacuum — pour or apply directly.
4
Processing
Pour in a thin stream from a height of approximately 30 cm — minimizing air bubbles. For modeling clay, press directly onto the model.
5
Vulcanize and demold
At 23 °C, demolding is possible after approximately 24 hours, and complete hardening occurs after 72 hours.

Important Notes

Polycondensation — robust against inhibitors
Polycondensation system (tin catalyst) — no susceptibility to poisoning from sulfur, amines, or PVC. Vacuum venting is not strictly necessary.
Storage and Shelf Life
Shelf life of at least 12 months in unopened original container when stored in a dry, cool place (10–25 °C). Consult the SDS before opening.
Available containers
1 kg + 0.05 kg, 5 kg + 0.25 kg, 25 kg + 1.25 kg. Other package sizes available on request.
Compatibility
Compatible with polyurethane, epoxy, and polyester casting resins. For aggressive resins, apply a release agent.
