SILISIL RTV PRO-Cast 45 is a room temperature vulcanizing 2-component silicone from the PRO-Cast — Industrial Casting Series(Addition (Platinum), translucent, RTV-2) — Translucent premium casting silicone Shore A 45 for demanding tool shapes.

The mixture is prepared in a 1:1 ratio by weight . Pot life at 23 °C is approximately 12 minutes, demolding is possible after approximately 150 minutes, and complete curing takes 24 hours. Temperature resistant from -40 °C to +200 °C.

Prepare the original
Clean, dry and dust-free surface at 23 °C — cooler environments significantly extend pot life and curing time.

Mixing components
Stir the base and catalyst thoroughly before use. Weigh out 1:1 by weight. Mix thoroughly, including the sides and bottom of the container.

Vacuum venting
For a pore-free mold, briefly vent under vacuum — trapped air is removed and a smooth mold surface is guaranteed.

Process
Pour from a height of approximately 30 cm in a thin stream — minimal air inclusions.

Vulcanizing and demolding
At 23 °C, demolding is possible after approximately 150 minutes, with complete hardening after 24 hours.

Important instructions

Avoid crosslinking inhibitors
Addition system (platinum) — sensitive to sulfur, amine, tin, and phosphorus compounds. Avoid contact with latex gloves and PVC plasticizers.
Storage and shelf life
In its unopened original container, the product has a shelf life of at least 12 months when stored in a dry, cool place (10–25 °C). Consult the SDS before opening.

SILISIL RTV PRO-Cast 45 is an addition-coating (platinum), translucent system. This addition-coating (platinum) system is sensitive to sulfur, amine, tin, and phosphorus compounds. Avoid contact with latex gloves and PVC plasticizers.

SILISIL RTV PRO-Cast 45 is mixed in a 1:1 ratio by weight (base to catalyst). Homogenize both components separately before mixing, then thoroughly incorporate them – including the container walls and bottom.

SILISIL RTV PRO-Cast 45 achieves a Shore A hardness of 45 (ASTM D 2240), a tensile strength of >3.5 N/mm² (ASTM D 412), an elongation at break of approximately 370% and a tensile strength of 15 N/mm (ASTM D 624).
