Stir up the RTV base
Homogenize the RTV base before adding the catalyst — avoid sedimentation of the fillers.

Bluesil Cata 2H Trans: Very fast tin catalyst for translucent RTV series — 2 h demolding time for maximum production speed. Main applications: Maximum production speed, translucent mold tools, express prototyping.

The standard dosage is 5 parts catalyst to 100 parts RTV base (5% w/w). The exact dosage affects the pot life and demolding time—see TDS for precise values. Important: too little catalyst leads to incomplete crosslinking; too much catalyst dramatically reduces the pot life and can impair the final properties. Stir both components thoroughly before mixing.

Store in the unopened original container in a dry, cool place — typically between +5 and +30 °C, see TDS for exact values. Consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Observe the expiry date on the packaging — Elkem guarantees the product's specifications only until the date shown.
