Hot melt adhesives are thermoplastic adhesives that are applied hot and develop strength immediately upon cooling. They enable short cycle times in industrial manufacturing, are solvent-free, and are easily automated: from manual application to automated application systems.

Typical applications

Product assembly and component fixing, packaging and laminating, wood and furniture manufacturing, and the fixing of cables and components in electrical assembly. Anywhere components need to be processed further without waiting time.

What matters when making your selection

Processing temperature and application system, open time and setting time, heat resistance during use, adhesion to the substrates involved, and the required flexibility. Important: The bond remains thermoplastic; for continuous heat exposure, we will jointly assess whether a reactive system would be a better choice.
