SILIRESIN optical clear resins for transparent castings and coatings: encapsulation of LEDs , jewelry and design objects , display protection and optical components . The systems are designed for high transparency, low yellowing and a clean gloss.

Characteristics

High light transmission (over 92 percent, product-specific according to the data sheet), low yellowing, and minimal shrinkage. Various curing profiles: from slow (approx. 24 hours) for bubble-free thick-film castings to fast (approx. 4 hours) for series production. Bubble-free results require the right technique: clean mixing, degassing, and adjusted pouring heights.

What matters when making your selection

Layer thickness and casting volume, exothermicity, pot life, UV exposure during use, and planned post-processing (grinding, polishing) should be considered. For optically critical applications, we recommend a sample test under real-world conditions.
