Cyanoacrylate adhesives. Industrial superglues for mass production

Cyanoacrylate adhesives (superglue) bond small components in seconds: without mixing, without heat, without UV light. The Permabond cyanoacrylates in our product range are formulated for industrial series applications, with controlled viscosity, defined setting time, and documented properties according to the manufacturer's data sheet.

Viscosity levels

Low viscosity (1 to 5 mPa·s): capillary action for narrow gaps and tight fits. Medium viscosity (50 to 200 mPa·s): universal for surfaces and profiles. Gel (thixotropic): for vertical surfaces, porous materials, and larger gaps.

Specialized formulations

Temperature resistant up to 200 °C (e.g. Permabond 825, according to manufacturer's documentation), impact-resistant modified for vibration exposure, low odor and low efflorescence for sensitive environments and visible bonded areas, black pigmented for visually inconspicuous bonding.

Substrates and selection

Cyanoacrylates adhere to metal, rubber, EPDM, many plastics, ceramics, wood, and leather. Polyolefins such as PE and PP can be bonded with a suitable primer. Gap dimensions, surface condition, and humidity are crucial factors; on passive surfaces, an activator accelerates curing. Typical applications include electronics manufacturing, automotive suppliers, medical technology (product-specific certifications available upon request), and general assembly. We recommend testing on the original substrate.
