SILISIL RTV MD-Soft 0020 is a room temperature vulcanizing 2-component silicone of the MD — Medical (Dental, Podiatry, Skin Contact)series (Addition (Platinum), Soft Consistency, RTV-2) — Ultra-soft soft-touch silicone Shore 00 23 — extreme elasticity for medical and FX applications.

The mixture is prepared in a 1:1 ratio by weight . Pot life at 23 °C is approximately 25 minutes, demolding is possible after approximately 70 minutes, and complete curing takes 24 hours. Temperature resistant from -40 °C to +200 °C.

Prepare the original
Clean, dry and dust-free surface at 23 °C — cooler environments significantly extend pot life and curing time.

Mixing components
Stir the base and catalyst thoroughly before use. Weigh out 1:1 by weight. Mix thoroughly, including the sides and bottom of the container.

Vacuum venting
For a pore-free mold, briefly vent under vacuum — trapped air is removed and a smooth mold surface is guaranteed.

Process
Pour from a height of approximately 30 cm in a thin stream — minimal air inclusions.

Vulcanizing and demolding
At 23 °C, demolding is possible after approximately 70 minutes, with complete hardening after 24 hours.

Important instructions

Avoid crosslinking inhibitors
Addition system (platinum) — sensitive to sulfur, amine, tin, and phosphorus compounds. Avoid contact with latex gloves and PVC plasticizers.
Storage and shelf life
In its unopened original container, the product has a shelf life of at least 12 months when stored in a dry, cool place (10–25 °C). Consult the SDS before opening.
